Campbell Creek Beta (SF Gorge)

At the moment it's a shit show. Unless you've got a saw and a willingness to spend some time cutting out a ton of wood, I'd find something else to do. Three of us thought we'd check it out for the first time this year and due to the January winds it's now in even worse shape than after the flood. Numerous critical places are choked up and the options are fairly limited. One desperate portage is required before Entrance Exam which was where we ended up pulling the plug. We did however scout a large portion and spotted numerous other problems throughout the runs length. Use caution if you head in there especially if the water is up. Based on what we saw, high water will be of little help unless it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000cfs. Only time or major effort will bring this quality run back to a runnable state.
